THE STATUS OF KANSAI AIRPORT (KIX) AND NARITA AIRPORT AS OF OCT 4, 2018
A glowing cargo backlog at Narita, Haneda, Kansai Int’l, Nagoya and other international airports in Japan is delaying both inbound and outboud shipments and the following is the status as of Oct 4, 2018.
According to JAL Cargo at Narita airport (NRT), airline companies who entrust JAL Cargo with the phsical handling of incoming air shipments to NRT, there are about 1850 ton of cargo backlogs in the warehouses shown in the attached Outline of Narita Airport Facilities.
Accordign to ANA, they haven’t cleared the cargo backlog in the 251 x ULD equivalent to 32 flights as of this morning.
There is no problem by IACT – Narita International Aircargo Terminals who provide the pysical handling of incoming shipments to NRT by their contract airline companies. According to Haneda Air Cargo Terminal, they have kept refusing to receive the incoming shipments to HND
Please note that another typhone Kong-rey is approaching Japan.
Typhoon Kong-rey likely heading for Okinawa
And it will be another national holiday on Oct 8 next Monday in Japan
In consequence, we assume there will be a massive amount of cargo backlog which can not be cleared at not only NRT, HND but also KIX, NGO and other international airports in Japan.
Your continued support would be appreciated. Thank you Mr. Kobaoyashi
